Copy Writer
We are seeking a full-time, in-house employee to write search engine optimized Web site content and press releases. Experience writing with SEO best practices is desired.
The responsibilities of a Web Content Writer can include the following:
- To work as part of a cross-functional web team, partnering with web team members, product writers and other key figures in the company
- Create product and promotional copy for all website and online marketing efforts including repurposed content and original writing.
- Ensure editorial content is written and presented in a format that meets web usability standards and is consistent with house style guidelines and brand image.
- Collaborate with the other web team members to enhance website functionality and develop innovative ways to effectively meet customer needs.
- Actively participate and contribute to the web team's creativity, efficiency and accomplishment of broad goals and policies identified by the strategic web team.
- Exhibit leadership and initiative in maintenance of functional web team and individual projects as directed by team coordinator.
- Perform any other duties essential to web development as directed.

- A flair for writing with an understanding of what works on the internet.
- An ability to work and communicate within a team environment.
- An effective writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer friendly. A knack for editing and proof reading with good research skills.
- Ability to write in a variety of formats and styles for multiple audiences.
- Experience with proven web writing and editing skills, including product descriptions and promotional copy.
- Knowledge of web usability standards and practices.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging and collaborative work environment.
